After four years of missionary service in Nicaragua, Drew and Alyssa Kumata returned to the United States carrying the unimaginable grief of losing their daughter, Parker Joy, and the weight of stepping away from a ministry they loved. Their transition home was marked by heartache, exhaustion, and a need for space to process the loss and upheaval that had reshaped their lives.

Through Selah International Counseling Ministries, the Kumatas found compassionate, Christ-centered care that met them in their pain. Through virtual counseling sessions and in-person time in South Carolina, they received the support, truth, and quiet space needed to begin healing. Today, God continues to use their story — and Parker Joy’s life — to bring comfort and hope to other ministry families walking through deep struggle.

From now until December 31, 2025, any donation of $200 or more will receive this special Christmas ornament — a tangible reminder to pray for missionaries and ministry leaders who are walking through difficult seasons.
